A short film documenting the journey of four Singaporean youths who were awarded the HSBC/NYAA Youth Environmental Awards for their efforts in spreading environmental awareness and sent on an Earthwatch study trip in Puerto Rico.
The youths worked with scientists from the Tropic Ventures Rainforest Enrichment & Sustainable Forestry Project, located in Patillas. The project’s mission is to research the economic use of rainforest land using methods that preserve forest ecology. Among a wealth of experiences gained, they helped scientists measure tree bark, identify anole lizards and build ethno-biological trails, which will facilitate the years of work to come.
